Pei Appointed Director of Engineering for Velodyne
Morgan Hill, CA (August 18, 2008) Velodyne Lidar, Inc., a leading manufacturer of high definition lidar sensors, recently appointed Dr. Jun Pei to the position of director of engineering. In this newly created position, Pei will direct all new product design, development and sustaining engineering activities.
Pei will manage the production of existing lidar products along with advancing new projects and will continue to build the engineering and manufacturing team. He will contribute seasoned leadership and a successful track record of providing solutions and bringing products to market and will aim to grow the engineering business rapidly, provide quick response time and foster creativity.
Prior to joining Velodyne, Pei spent 11 years at KLA-Tencor, a manufacturer of high precision semiconductor equipment. Pei earned a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science and physics from Brandeis University and holds a doctorate in electrical engineering from Stanford University.
