Velodyne is Honored with CEA 2009 Mark of Excellence Award

Morgan Hill, CA (March 27, 2009) -- The Consumer Electronics Association's TechHome division announced that Velodyne Acoustics has won a 2009 Mark of Excellence Award for Best Subwoofer. CEA honored the Velodyne SC-600 IW (In-Wall) subwoofer with a Mark of Excellence Award for outstanding achievement and innovation in trend setting custom home products. The SC-600 IW was recognized at the Mark of Excellence Awards Dinner on Friday, March 13th in conjunction with the tenth annual Electronic House Expo (EHX) Spring 2009.

The CEA Gold award for the SC-600 IW is the second Mark of Excellence award won by Velodyne. In 2008 the MicroVee also won for best subwoofer.

Each year manufacturers, distributors and systems integrators enter to compete in award categories for this coveted honor. Each of the TechHome Mark of Excellence Awards categories has a four-member judging team comprised of systems integrators, manufacturers, members of the trade press and industry consultants to determine both finalists and winners.
